It is for these children of God that the Three Angel messages of Revelation 14 and the mighty Angel of Revelation 18 is NOW being proclaimed across the entire world. Since
the beginning days of the Protestant Reformation, the
Beast of Revelation 13:1 was understood to be the political power of the Papacy,
while the whore riding the
beast in Revelation 17 was the Mother of churches... Catholicism.
(This view is called Historicism as was the movement that sparked the Heroic
Protestant Reformation). It is the Papacy who stands UNIQUE in
all world history, whereby, ONLY this power has existed as BOTH a church =
(a woman) and a government = (a beast) at the same time.

Revelation 17 describes the BEAST's existence in 3 phases.
1. "Was"
2. "Is not"
3. "Yet is"
Revelation 17:8 "...And those who dwell on the earth will
marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of
the world, when they see the beast that
1st phase (was)
This was the Papa Revelation 17:6 "And I saw the woman
drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of
Jesus."
During the 1260 years of political rule, the Papacy inspired the persecution and
murder of between 50 - 150 million Christians who would not subscribe to the
unbiblical dogmas
and practices of the Catholic church. ie: The Crusades, Inquisitions...
On March 12, 2000, John Paul II publicly asked the Lord's forgiveness for past and
present faults of the children of the Church. Does this mean the church has changed
to become the "Bride of Christ"? Definitely not!! ... (See Words of a Beast
for articles direct from the Catholic church.)
2nd phase (is not and will ascend)
In 1798 the Papacy lost its political power over the Kings
of the earth, and not until the year 1929 did the church recover some
of its political and diplomatic power by signing Mussolini’s Lateran Treaty.
At this historic moment in time
the church was allotted the state of Vatican City. (Note: It was Pope Pius VI that was
the head who received the "mortal wounded" in 1798, and it was Pope Pius XI who was the
head when the "wound" was "healed" in 1929).
This political/religio power has continued to ascend higher and higher until 1948
when the Church of Rome regained even greater influence into world affairs with the creation of the World Council of Churches,
preparing the way to unify all religions of the world. Further ascension occurred
in 1962, when Pope John XXIII called the Second Vatican Council, aimed to unify
all the churches through worldwide ecumenicalism. In the 1950’s, Harry Truman
attempted to appoint an ambassador to the Vatican, yet there arose such an
American protest
that it was impossible for him to follow through. But thirty years later, when
President Reagan tried to accomplish the same thing, he succeeded with little opposition.
Today the Church's influence in world politics has climbed to such heights that
the Papacy NOW reserves it's seat at the head of the United Nations.
Notice: These 10 horns are not the same as the ten horns that grew out of the dreadful
and terrible Roman beast in Daniel 7, where 3 of those horns were uprooted by
"the little horn" (= Papacy). Conclusion: These 10 horn's on the scarlet beast are
similarly outgrowths of the Papal
power which is the scarlet colored beast in a different time frame of Revelation
17. The 7 heads likewise represents the leadership of the Papal beast.
Revelation 17 will yet explain who these heads are.
vs. 9: "And here is the mind which hath wisdom.
The seven heads are 7 mountains, on which the woman sitteth".
Notice: The woman (symbolically = church) is pictured
sitting on the "heads"
rather than the back of the beast. This indicates that the seven
"heads" representing the total duration for the Today, God's progressive light has again blessed us with more prophetic wisdom. God uses this same phraseology in Revelation13:18 when He says: "Here is wisdom. Let him who hath understanding, count the number of the beast..." Shall we ignore the fact that God has directed us to be wise in our understanding. Is God showing a connection between Revelation 13:18 and Revelation 17:9? I believe He is directing our understanding and we are to be diligent in our study. Symbolically, a monarchs name becomes a MOUNTAIN once the same name is used more than once. For example: John Paul I was not a mountain until John Paul II was added. In Revelation 17:9, the 7 heads are now understood to represent the papal leadership which verse 9 calls 7 mountains. Understand: Revelation 17 is describing the
three phases of the papacy down through time. The first phase describes the "was"
phase, between 538 until 1798, when the Papacy lost her political control over
the nations. The second, "is
not" phase describes the
healing period of the beast. During this period the woman sits
upon a total of 7 heads (= church leadership). To our amazement, there has been exactly
7 papal names (heads) used by the papal beast since the
"was"
phase ended in 1798.
Below are the 7 Papal names used during the Note: Behind the name of each new pope there is always a number added
according to how many times that name (mountain) has been used by previous popes.
Revelation 17:10 "And there are 7 kings; (a
monarchy represents a succession of kings or queens according to their names) Obviously, John is receiving this vision from the perspective of the 6th king (who was Pope Paul VI who goes down in history as the pope who made the greatest stride to reunite Protestants back to the Mother church). Previous to that, the following Papal names had already fallen: 1. Pius 2. Leo 3. Gregory 4. Benedict 5. John. You may question about the name Benedict because we now have a pope named Benedict in office. How is it that he would be counted as having fallen when in fact his name has returned to the Papal office? Understand: For a name to fall means that there will never be another pope that will die with one of the fallen names attached to him, even if he were to start out with that name. As incredible as it may seem, prophecy indicates that Benedict XVI will not die with the name Benedict attached to him. The Bible even tells us this in such exact detail as we will discover later in Revelation 17. So, Benedict is a name that indeed has fallen. One is; (the 6th king = the Papal name Paul) and the other has not yet come; (7th Papal name John Paul had never been used before in history), and when he comes he continues a short space". The 7th Papal Monarchy ruled only 26 years. The next shortest tenure is that of Paul, where the total number of years is 67 years. The other papal names ruled in years as follows; Pius 161, Leo 99, Gregory 125, Benedict 88, John 122. (Compare lengths of reign for each Papal name).
Revelation 13:18 confirms that 666 is calculated by counting the numbers
belonging to the beast.
"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath
understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number
of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six".
The
Prophecy says nothing of converting letters into numbers. According to this
prophecy, only one man will possess the number 666 and not a succession of men,
as many prophecy preachers insist.
As in John Paul I + John Paul II = 3 count of 1+2=3
Using this method of counting, the count of all Seven Papal Monarchy names
since 1798 is:
78 91 136 105 231 21 3 665 Revelation 17:11 "And the beast that was,
(during the dark ages) and is not, (during the 7 heads)
is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven and is going to
perdition." In
the original Greek, it says "And
the beast which was and is not, and he the eighth is, and out of the seven
he is....".
The phrase "out of the seven" here signifies an active coming out of
something or away from a point of origin, (Strong's Hebrew and Greek
Dictionary). In other words, the
final count of 1 needed to complete the count total of 666 comes from an
individual who begins his reign as one of the seven, which we now know to be
Benedict, will one day in the not too distant future change to a new name which has never been used before,
giving
him the needed count of 1. This will complete the total count of 666.
Are you astonished!!? Clearly we see the
AMAZING accuracy of God's prophetic word. Benedict XVI, was elected pope on April 19, 2005,
at the elderly age of 78 years old. This tells us
that time is short and it will not be long before this present pope is exalted to GLOBAL spiritual leader
and changes his name. Revelation 17:12 "And the ten horns thou sawest are
ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one
hour with the beast. Understand vs:13 "These are of one mind, (they are religious in nature)
and they shall give their strength to the beast.
(These apostate religions encompassing the entire world
will agree with the
Pope
and his enforcers and
will possibly agree to a treaty stating that all political decisions must be passed by
the Pope.)
vs:14 "These shall make war with the Lamb,
(they shall attack and persecute God's faithful commandment keeping Christians),
and the Lamb shall overcome them. For he is Lord of Lords,
and king of kings, and they that are with Him are called chosen, and faithful".
vs:15 "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest,
where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues."
vs:16 "And the ten horns vs:17. "For God has put it in their hearts
(the 10 kings), to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give
their kingdom (political power) unto the beast,
(Papacy), until the words of God shall be fulfilled."
vs:18 "And the woman (Catholicism)
which thou sawest is that city, (Vatican City)
which reigneth over the kings of the earth".
(10 global divisions of the world which gave their political authority to the Papal power).
This “yet is”, the 3rd phase of the beast remains future to us. These
predictions of great change under the 8th Papal name since 1798 cannot be far
off however. The Bible shows Christ returning prior to the death of the 8th
Pope since Christ destroys this “man of perdition” at His return.
Are you preparing for the soon return of Jesus Christ?? As the return of Christ
draws to a close Christians
remaining faithful to the Lord and Savior will experience the
“time of trouble” followed by the time of “Jacob’s trouble”. None of
the "plagues" that will fall upon the unrighteous will touch God's faithful.
Whose authority
will you obey in the face of DEATH?? Don’t be like the foolish virgins who fell
asleep without enough oil for their lamps, (Matthew 25:1-13). The oil you need
comes from the Holy Spirit. Now is the time to fill up your lamp. Jesus said:
“You are the light of the world… Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven.” Matthew 5:14;16
The last few verses of Revelation 13 is the
information about the "Mark of the Beast". While the
Bible does not say exactly how this mark will be enforced, it is clear that there will be
some sort of tracking system to identify who is loyal to the beast and who is not.
Given today's technology,
it seems possible that the enforcement of the "mark" may
involve biometrics, which is the use of physical characteristics such as an iris
scan or fingerprints. This my friend is NOT the issue though.
In reality the mark itself is NOT a visible or physical mark however, it is
more of a "spiritual mark". The bible clearly indicates that in the last day,
everyone will be marked either with the "Seal of God", or the "mark of the beast".
For those who receive the mark of the beast, Revelation 13:16 say:
"He causes all, both small and great, rich
and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their
foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark, or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name".
The mark on the forehead suggests that this is an agreeable thing to
those who receive it there because thinking takes place in
the brain, which is certainly behind the forehead, and only God can see our
thoughts. The mark on the hand suggests that these
individuals do not agree with the "mark" however they comply,
by their actions in following the crowd perhaps out of fear of persecution.
Please note that NOBODY has yet received the mark of
the beast as this is still future, but someday SOON it will be a mark to avoid
because of the serious consequences for receiving it (warning against this is
given in Revelation chapter 14).
As we live in the last days, each one of us will have to actively choose to
follow God and to serve Him, OR NOT. All those who either reject God, or wrongly
believe that they can stay neutral, will automatically be numbered among the
servants of evil. There will be NO middle ground!!
