Last Days Signs of the Times

Is America mentioned in Bible prophecy, or has God's Word overlooked the world's only superpower? Many prophecy writers emphatically state that America is not there. They see the US fading into oblivion under a supposedly future New World Order dominated by the hedonistic rule of the United Nations. In the next few pages, you may be surprised to discover that in fact America does appear in Bible prophecy, and America WILL play a leading role in the final astounding events of planet earth.

It was the desire for liberty of conscience that inspired the Pilgrims to brave the perils of the long journey across the sea, and with God's blessing, to lay on the shores of America, and build the foundation of a mighty nation.

Among the Christian exiles who first fled to America and sought an asylum from royal oppression and priestly intolerance were many who determined to establish a government upon the broad foundation of civil and religious liberty. Their views found place in the Declaration of Independence, which sets forth the great truth that "all men are created equal" and endowed with the inalienable right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." And the Constitution guarantees to the people the right of self-government, providing that representatives elected by the popular vote shall enact and administer the laws. Freedom of religious faith was also granted, every man being permitted to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. Republicanism and Protestantism became the two fundamental principles of the nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity. The oppressed and downtrodden throughout Christendom have turned to this land with interest and hope. Millions have sought its shores, and the United States has risen to a place among the most powerful nations of the earth.

On February 29, 1892, the Supreme Court of the United States of America unanimously declared this country to be a Christian nation.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
