In our attempt to understand Bible prophecy, we are fortunate today to have historical records that support and fulfill the prophecies of old. The following study will guide every sincere heart to understand history and how it has fulfilled scripture. 

Before we can comprehend the fullness of al the major endtime prophecies, first we need to understand how the historical records have been fulfilled in the book of Daniel

  Daniel 7:23. "The forth beast shall be a forth kingdom on the earth... (Almost every good encyclopedia will ascertain to the fact that there has only been four world empires to dominate the earth. They are as follows:   1st. Babylon 2nd. Medo/Persia 3rd. Greece 4th. Rome. vs 24. "The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom, (The Fall of Rome in 476 AD. divided Rome into 10 smaller kingdoms). "And another shall arise AFTER THEM, (AFTER the 10 Divisions of Rome, another political power shall arise) "He shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings". (Historically this event was fulfilled when the Papacy became the reckoning force over all divisions of the divided Roman Empire. As a result, the 3 opposing kingdoms who did not agree to the religious dictates of the Papacy, were eliminated by the Popes armies).

Before proceeding we must back up and understand: Daniel 7:7-8 "...It was different from all the beasts before it, (Here the prophecy reveals a historical fact that this NEW power was different from ALL other kingdoms, in that it was a RELIGIOUS /  POLITICAL power.) "and that it had ten horns. I was considering the horns, and another horn, a little one came up among them, (among the 10 divisions of the divided Roman Empire) "before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots." (Again history will confirm these facts. Upon the orders of Pope _?_ the following kingdoms were completely destroyed. They were: 1. Vandals 2. Heruli 3. Ostrogoths. The last power was destroyed in 538AD making the Pope of Rome sole ruler over all of Europe and the final word on scripture.

Revelation 13:1   "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea  (a highly populated area), having seven heads Historically, Protestants believed that these 7 mountains represented the 7 hills of Rome where the Vatican sits. Only we have more recently been lead to new light where we now understand that a name symbolically becomes a mountain when the name is used more than once. and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy (claims to be God on earth and to possess the power to forgive sins).
